My Story

I grew up on the coast of southern Maine. While attending Falmouth High School, I played field hockey, and lacrosse. Whether it was camping in the White Mountains, skiing at Saddleback, or sailing on Casco Bay with family, my love for the outdoors was fostered from a very early age.

For thirteen years, my summers were spent at YMCA Camp Nellie Huckins in Freedom, NH. My home away from home, this all around overnight summer camp for girls is where I gained confidence and lifelong friendships. It was while working as a camp counselor that I realized my interest in the law. I sadly had to report a case of child abuse to the state and from that moment knew I wanted to be able to do more to help that young girl.

College brought me to Upstate New York where I attended Colgate University. During my senior year, I had the good fortune to meet my now husband, Michael who grew up in the Vail Valley. I completed my first year of law school at Wake Forest University. I then moved to Washington, DC where I graduated from Georgetown University Law Center.

Graduate school and jobs brought us all over the country from Washington, DC to Boulder, to San Francisco. In the fall of 2015, we were happy to finally be able to call the Vail Valley home. I traded the beauty of the ocean in Maine for better skiing. When not working, you can find me skiing in the winter or hiking and mountain biking during the summer. I love
everything this beautiful Valley has to offer and Michael and I enjoy exploring it with our Black Lab/Great Dane mix, Marvin.
